Does The ACEhp Share My Personal Data?
The ACEhp may share personal data collected through this site with other companies, organizations, individuals and exhibitors.
Membership mailing lists are the intellectual property of the ACEhp and the licensing of such lists is granted with the intent of providing ACEhp members with beneficial and relevant information, resources and services from vendors/third parties qualifying and interested in promoting such services to ACEhp members. A royalty fee is assessed for the license to use ACEhp mailing lists.
The ACEhp does not actively promote the use of its mailing list for purposes of receiving licensing/royalty income. The ACEhp does not engage in any activities or provide any services in connection with or in exchange for royalties other than licensing the one-time right to use the mailing list.
Membership lists include name, degree, title, organization, address, city, state/province, ZIP/postal code, and country. Lists are leased for one time use in comma delimited format, via e-mail following lease approval.
Companies, organizations, and individuals who wish to lease the ACEhp membership list, must meet the conditions required and royalties for the license to use the ACEhp mailing list. The agreement to grant license to a third party/vendor for a royalty fee to use the ACEhp mailing list is not intended to create a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between the ACEhp and a lessee.
Annual conference exhibitors may lease the pre-registrants’ list and or membership list, which consist of name, degree, title, organization, address, city, state/province, ZIP/postal code, and country. Lists are leased for one time use in comma delimited format, via e-mail following lease approval.
Annual conference exhibitors must indicate on the Exhibit Application, Agreement, and Listing if they want to lease the pre-registrants’ list and/or the membership list, and must include full payment for licensing those lists, and attach a copy of the proposed literature for mailing.
The proposed literature for mailing is reviewed by the Executive Director to ensure the intent is to provide the ACEhp annual conference pre-registrants and/or members with beneficial and relevant information, resources and services.
Exhibitors are informed (in an e-mail sent by ACEhp staff) that an attached pre-registrants’ and/or membership list is for a one-time use to mail networking literature approved the by the Executive Director of the ACEhp. The list is not to be used for marketing purposes.
In addition, there are other, limited circumstances in which the ACEhp may share or transfer the personal data in our databases. For example, with your permission; when we believe it is necessary to report requirements of accrediting bodies; to comply with a court order or subpoena; to comply with a legal requirement; to enforce our conditions of use and other agreements; to protect the rights, property or safety of the ACEhp, our users or others; to protect your vital interests and to administer our programs; or in the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event.
Can A Member Opt-Out of Having Their Personal Data Released to Vendors/Third Parties?
The ACEhp has a policy and procedure for members to opt-out of having personal data included in the online membership directory and also opt-out of having personal data appear on mailing lists leased to vendors/third parties. Members can opt-out of either or both of these options by contacting the ACEhp by phone (205-824-1355) or by e-mail to.
